Every day, Richard Lyda challenges the laws of physics to design a robust Wi-Fi protocol that meets the ever increasing demands for higher speed and capacity that can withstand a variety of natural interference. Whether it’s signal to every room on every floor of a multi-level development like the Ritz Carlton Residences of Bal Harbour, to the common areas in communities like swimming pools, golf courses, and parking garages, Rich applies his skills as a Wi-Fi architect to guarantee Hotwire Communication’s services to all customers, no matter where they may go on property.
As a certified Tier 3 Wi-Fi support and member of the research and development team for Hotwire Communications, Rich ensures that the equipment deployed today is at the peak of technological efficiency. Wireless signal standards are constantly evolving to reach new heights of service provision. Rich evaluates these standards for serviceability and overall strength to maintain Hotwire’s competitive edge for successful Wi-Fi networks.
The integrity of the Wi-Fi deployments Hotwire Communications provides is also maintained by Rich’s ability to train and inform his coworkers on standard practices. As a technical trainer for Ruckus Wireless products, Rich has built an extensive knowledge base, working across multiple business types and interacting with leading CIO’s. Through Wi-Fi training classes and courseware of Rich’s design, technicians are made aware of key best practices when it comes to in-home installation.
When he’s not laying out the latest customer Wi-Fi map, Rich enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and mentoring young students through the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program.
