Today, most customers expect constant, seamless wireless connectivity, regardless of their location – but there is a new dimension – they now want WAN Access Side performance at every location in their home over Wi-Fi. This fundamental shift in performance gear – is now also changing the home Wi-Fi architecture – where it is now longer just good enough to add a Wi-Fi repeater or even a wired 2×2 extender.
Engineering for Gbps Wi-Fi performance is what is required as we lay the foundations for 25Mbps 4K video over Wi-Fi and 150Mbps un-tethered VR – where it is not just good enough to meet the minimum but provide 4x or 5x the airtime for headroom for other concurrent services.
